How to access a mailbox you've been delegated access to using G Suite

This article is for use after using the Set up mail delegation Gmail Help article and the delegate has accepted the invitation.

One of the benefits of using delegation is the delegates (A maximum of 25 delegates can be added to a mailbox.) will be able to access the delegated mailbox without needing to know the password of the delegated account. Furthermore, the delegates can read and reply to any emails but cannot chat, on behalf of, or modify settings.

Once the invitation for delegation has been accepted, the delegate will see the delegated account, under their own account, in the drop-down list for Google Accounts in the top-right of the web mailbox.

Any emails sent by delegates will still be under your name but with also the delegate’s (i.e. Delegated Name (Sent by Delegate Name).
